Creating a world-class tourism establishment in Matane

Habitat worked on a large-scale renovation and extension project at the Riôtel Matane, which lasted a year. The upgrades made transformed the hotel into one of international calibre. The work was completed while the hotel was in operation, requiring us to once again to demonstrate our capacity to come up with innovative solutions to minimize disturbance to the hotel’s guests and staff. The project was completed in multiple stages: — Renovating and extending the conference centre, with six entirely adaptable function rooms. — Extending the five floors adjoining the original building, including the addition of 27 new, high-calibre rooms, an indoor pool, a gym, a jacuzzi, a sauna and spa. — Renovating the lobby and common areas. — Integrating a new, totally redesigned restaurant. The renovations and extension work at the Riôtel Matane enabled the company to present a brand new hotel to its professional guests, much to the pleasure of the community. This was a major project for us, and we managed to juggle operational constraints, technical challenges and a very tight deadline to produce a high-quality finished product that we are very proud of.
